I agree with the article on the commercialization of the basketball games. Does the school get any piece of the pie from the TV sponsors/ads revenue? Or does it all go to the TV station, UAAP board, etc? The schools must also get some share in the TV revenue, this will help them with their sports programs. They can use the money to improve their training facilities or augment the costs involved in athlete scholarships. I guess if the board members get 6 figure allowances then this is where they get it.

If you mean frustrated, yeah. The board's actions sometimes remind me of politicians. It's inexcusable for a national record breaking performance of an athlete to be disallowed because the required equipment wasn't available at the track and field venue. How often does a UAAP athlete beat the national record? How about the rule changes the board makes every year?

There is hope. Our board reps, plus those of Ateneo and UP have shown themselves to be fair-minded and willing to push meaningful change. However, unfortunately they're the minority. But of course there's still a chance that the board members of the other schools will someday see the light that our board reps bring to the board meetings. So I'm still critical of the board, but I'm optimistic that changes for the better can and will occur.
