Kudos to the one who edited this. Might had a hard time deleting those edges. I hope they would perform flawlessly just how the picture was edited neatly. Haha! I heard we’ll be the first one in the line up. Best of luck to the Animo Squad! Bring out the Animo.

  • Sammie Sylim

  • archer_fanatic

The squad did real good yesterday; really enjoyed the futuristic sort-of theme! Although what bothers me is how they landed in a low spot in the ranking considering their stellar performance and their clean execution. True, I might be sourgraping but, we all know in our hearts that La Salle did better than the other squads ahead of us. IDK, might be because we missed the trio Samsung dance, which is actually part of the score. I mean, I actually expected that we’ll be just behind FEU or Ateneo. Oh well…

Also, how the Atenean judge graded the squad is totally classless, stupid and so damn Atenean (my apologies for the redundancy.)

  • bhadji

The DLSU Animo Squad’s cheerdance was one of my favorite actually! It was clean and classy…

I must say, I was completely and utterly shocked by the rankings… wierd judges!

  • jigs

yesterday’s cheerdance has no basis at all. example, why did ust fell on the second spot when feu and adamson clearly showed a better performance? why did admu landed on the fourth if adu and ue’s pep squad did better?

I really expected animo squad to land even at the fourth place. they had a far better impact on the audience than ust, admu, feu and ue’s performance.

well, on the bright side, at least no more alsalle.

by the way, ust yellow jackets copied some moves in our ‘rektikano’ chant, nu also used our boomakaya(spelling?) chant.

  • Sammie Sylim

Just my opinion… I think it’s like this… There is already a biased in the judging since diba nga, andun lage ang UST at UP… Ala lang parang sa tingin ko lang… Parang DAPAT andun lage sila… Just my opinion…

  • umore

As in, sumali sa competiton sa US, or sa Europa, o sa Asya.

    Go La Salle!

  • umore

Dapat maging aktibo tayo sa mga Asian competitions in other sports as well.

    UAAP is sooo last century.

We should look to helping our country improve our image. God and Country, ika nga. Hindi God and La Salle muna.

  • bhadji

i agree with umore, lets go international!

  • jigs

    point well taken by sammie…

…with regards to the international ting, we can’t. di basta basta ang pagsali dun lalo na ng pep squad. may association na nagaassign. di ba may contest abroad na pagsasamahan ng up pep, admu bbb at iba pang schools. I think we should prove ourselves sa ncc. kung di makuha sa cheerdancing, baka sa cheerleading may pagasa na

hmmm. DLSU’s squad wasn’t impressive at all; ask anybody who’s not from La Salle. It’s probably the reason why they landed 7th. I must admit, you guys improved a lot! A WHOLE LOT…although it’s not enough.

Next year do better..way better so you could land in the top3.

BTW, just to clear it out; the SAMSUNG PERFORMANCE was NOT part of judging.

that’s the problem with us lasallians. even us stereotype our pep squad for commiting a single mistake last year. animo squad did a fairer job than what other schools presented and their routines are original indeed. it’s just that people have stereotyped our squad as lame-os. many have commented in other forums that this year’s cdc is biased. many were even dissappointed with what gawi did and with the results.

..just a trivia, ever wondered why nearly all squad did a two man shuffle toss?

…ever wondered why bbb’s dance routine seems familiar?

    …try watching bring it on.

  • Sammie Sylim

to Jigs… I know what you are talking about… Bring it on 3, right? I was so surprised to see that “stunt” performed… I forgot which squad it was… And yeah really, may pagka biased na sa judging… I think it’s because tradition na din… I dunno if dats the right term eh…

UAAP should follow NCAA kasi hindi na cheerdance yung sa kanila cheerleading competition na. i think mas malaki chance natin sa cheerleading over cheerdance. pinakita ito ng CSB Pep Squad kahapon, they bagged 3rd place in the competition. ANIMO!

  • Joey

I don’t think the competition was biased at all.

WE SHOULD DO BETTER NEXT YEAR. I know we always try to do so but we have to be way, way better next year. Let’s try to seed a top 3 finish.
