The “gigil” factor is understandable with the new guys. But players like Ferdinand, Mangahas, Barua and Malabes, who are practically seniors already, can’t use that same excuse…

Holding our first 4 opponents including UE and FEU to 65 points or less means that our defense is working. I’d attribute the misses inside to “gigil” more than lack of ability to finish. When the players are used to playing with each other, and begin to play relaxed, loose, and with more confidence, that’s when we’ll start to see the real Archer ball. I’d give the team until the end of the first round to make the necessary adjustments.

I think our interior defense is pretty decent. It’s our interior OFFENSE that has a problem. Once we get into the shaded area, we start throwing up bricks. Nobody can seem to finish shots in the paint on a consistent basis.

Team defense is the key here. Your comments about our interior defense being weak may or may not be true. But remember that interior defense is the Last Line of defense. That is why our defense starts with our guards. Full court, back court pressure, before that ball even crosses the midcourt. We play defense in sections of the court. The key is always intensity and working within the system. We will win games, we will lose also. But there is one common goal. To win the championship. It doesn’t matter how ugly we get there. If we work as a team, we will. Animo!!!!

Grabe ung game sa Adamson, luckily nanalo ng 1 point. Pero I think their more stronger than DLSU. Kasi that guard na sobrang galing sa Adamson ung top scorer, at first natatakot sya, eventually nagka confidence ginagawa ng mane ung mga players ng dlsu. Galing tlga ni KISH CO.. WOOHOOOOO.. ANIMO LA SALLE!!!! We still believe!!!! Sana makabalik na ung LASALLE BASKETBALL!!!!

I agree with you man, the archers’ interior defense is weak, the guards of FEU and Adamson were able to score and penetrate with absolutely no resistance.
