^^^ Its been quite a while since we saw this kind of celebration from the team.
In search of their first win in over a month to keep their Final 4 hopes alive, the beleaguered Green Archers will face the last team they have conquered. A lot is at stake for both La Salle and UST and if their last encounter was extremely intense, tomorrow’s game may be just the same as well. Hopefully, though, minus the extra moves that almost resulted in suspensions of some key players.
It was all downhill for the Archers after their double overtime win against the Tigers in the first round. UST on the other hand has been in a up and down situation but was able to muster enough wins to occupy the 4th spot with a 2 game lead over the Archers.
The scenarios have already been repeatedly discussed in past articles and we cannot stress enough the importance of this game for us. Again, the team’s fate now out their hands, but to stay in the running for the last playoff slot, they should win all their last 3 games.
Unfortunately, the Archers will have to play without Simon Atkins who sustained a foot injury which will probably sideline him already for rest of the season. This leaves Joel Tolentino as the only legit playmaker.
It has been reported that the entire team has shaved their heads. Will no hair translate to more wins? We could only hope that their being bald will make them become bold from hereon. AN1MO!

Even though the DLSU-M senior men’s basketball team seems to be not performing that well this year, let us just be thankful to God for giving the players the great opportunity (especially the rookies) to play in the UAAP. Whether they are weak or strong, at least they possess the bodily kinestetic intelligence through playing basketball.

The seniors i again I think plays like amateurs, the rookie outshined them. I fell in love with this team back then. I hope the Animo Spirit leaves and fire their spirit once again. What the heck is BODILY KINESTETIC INTELLIGENCE !! LOL TOO SCIENTIFIC!! Basketball is real simple .Either you have it or you dont.Some of us think that we can all play .Sure we can .But at what level? College level basketball is one step short of the PROS.Some of our players are not quite there yet .And some of these players wont be at the PROS .The best thing is to have a massive prayer rally and hopefully thru DIVINE INTERVENTION OUR ARCHERS WILL BE IN THE FINAL 4!! How I really miss the glory days!!! The Limpot/Cardel, Allado/Cortez, Ritualo/Yeo/Cardona, Rico/Casio eras. I hope this current team will look back and get some inspiration from them. Again WIN or GO HOME!!! But DO WIN this time!!! If we lose against UST, let’s just use the last 2 games to hone our rookies and give them the UAAP experience they deserve. DLSU WE HAIL! !! Sure its hard to accept that our beloved ARCHERS are not shooting their arrows straight.We have been spoiled by years of excellent ARCHERS BASKETBALL.But all good things come to an end.It is a cycle, sometimes we are up and now we are mediocre at best! This is really a season of learning for the young archers. I truly hope they would carry this humbling experience and use it to win in next year’s battle!
But the candle of hope still shines bright, maybe , just maybe, shaved heads or not, a miracle will happen and we might just get to the Final Four.

whatever happens to our team this season, let’s not blame the so called veterans (e.g. mangahas, barua, malabes, ferdinand and atkins). lets just support and cheer for the green archers team provided they will give way to the rookies and sophomores (i.e. webb, tolentino, banal, marata, bringas, etc.) of the team and will no longer play next year. peace…
