Red vs Blue in the UAAP Finals

Fighting out of the red corner, here are the Warriors from Recto. Seeded 3rd in the final 4, they overcame the odds by defeating the FEU Tamaraws twice. They thus eradicated the stigma of countless years of playoff setbacks. They are two wins away from achieving an even greater feat; ending a 24-year title drought.

Fighting out the blue corner, here are the defending champion Eagles from Katipunan. With a 13-1 elimination card, they barely struggled all season and immediately disposed of the Tigers in the final 4. They are two wins away from achieving back-to-back championships, something they last did in the late 1980s.

In terms of talent and experience, it’s pretty obvious that Ateneo has the advantage in this series. Nonetheless, there’s still no such thing as a sure thing especially in the UAAP. Both teams would probably agree with us on this one.

After the ue-feu game in round2 where feu crumbled with 30pts (?), i had a feeling that ue will enter the finals. Hopefully, they’ll be able to humble and defeat the other side. They deserve to win this time. Go ue!
