Hmmmm.... I hope I could remain optimistic about the team entering at least the final four next year. I still can't figure out why with so much talent, the team has not soared (or am I just too impatient?). But I will always be there for the team! Thank you very much coach Franz and all the best to incoming coach Dindo. Animo!

It's a sad ending to an epic-like career of coach franz. But this could be a blessing in disguise. the turnover from franz to dindo this early will give the team more time to adjust to dindo's style of coaching. more time to work as a team.

Another thing that was revealed yesterday was the coming of joshua webb. We now have a go-to-guy!!!! He still needs a little work on his jump shots, but hey, he is already a marked man!! hopefully the others step up as well.

We will be forever grateful to coach franz and the glory he gave DLSU. We all wish him well to his future endeavours. thank you coach!!!! Animo La Salle!

The successful stint in Naga notwithstanding, the Archers were not sure of advancing deep into the PCCL. The level of competition in the round of 16 is notably higher, and if our performance in the UAAP was any indication, the current manpower still lacks something. We must also remember that other teams have improved by studying why La Salle was so successful in past years (recruitment, full court press as a defensive staple, scouting, etc).

There are a few basics that the Archers need to review, in particular the penchant for travelling. At least 5 such violations were called yesterday. But overall, the team has the building blocks for the future. Our guard corps will be strengthened by the return of LA, and our current batch of rookies will have one more year of experience and will be able to contribute more. Our Team B players will have to contend with possible recruits for a slot on the team.

It's a pity that Coach Franz's last tournament with the Archers didn't fare as well, but that doesn't diminish his accomplishments as arguably the most successful coach in recent history. For all the glory and honor you've brought to the Green and White, thank you Coach Franz!

And we welcome the entry of Coach Dindo, who takes over the reins of the Archers. Dindo masterminded the emergence of UE as a perennial UAAP contender, and he built the Warriors team that placed 2nd this season. Although the basic foundation of his game is the same as that of Franz, Dindo does have his own particular style of coaching.

The pre-season will definitely be something to look forward to.

What if Jazul was allowed to play? Maybe Belencion and Gutilban would have few touches... and what if Bringas was not hit by an elbow by Cortez...

THe Rookie boys of La Salle really needs more experience with the veterans that they are competing with.. well show them what you got next year rookies.. you still have months to prepare for season 73. train hard and work together with your plays. there's no need of a starplayer.. all you need is team building and trusting your teammates

And the hits keep coming! Honestly, once I saw this matchup between the Archers and the Knights, I didn't like it because I was keeping track of Letran in the NCAA this season and they did markedly better than La Salle did in the UAAP. Letran went 12-6 and we went... home early! Anyway, time to rebuild for next season I guess.

The blessing in being eliminated early is that a new more balanced team can be formed now to train seriously for the UAAP championship next season. Something's just not right with the mix of this team that - if we would recall - lost all its second round games, except one, in the last UAAP season.
