Good Question.

I guess since mens basketball is as we know the centerpiece sport, the team carries the name Green Archers.Though all sports teams carry the Green Archer spirit, they are labelled differently as to avoid any confusion.

Good luck to the men and women who will be wearing the green and white and serving it up this season! Stay healthy and have fun because without either, it's tough to compete!

One question: does each sport have their own mascot? I mean, La Salle is represented across the board by the "Green Archer", right? Or does that only represent the basketball team? If you are a soccer player, or a swimmer or a track and field athlete, are you still represented by a Green Archer? Or do you have respective titles representing each sport? I ask because the volleyball team is called "Green Spikers" and although I understand perfectly the correlation between that name and the sport, what happens to the "Green Archer" identity? Shouldn't they be called "Archer Spikers" or "Archer Volleyball" or something that has the Archer name in it? I'm not trying to be a smart you-know-what but I truly am curious why this is the case.
