Integrating new players into the rotation is tough, particularly when you're replacing Steph Mercado and Jacq Alarca, but the newcomers like Galang and Reyes gave a good account of themselves. The 3rd set hiccups gave the diehard supporters some anxious moments, and in the 4th set Adamson took a 3-point lead towards the end of the set, but our team recovered their bearings to close out the set and match with aplomb. Lots of things to improve on, but it was a good start. We should do better as the tournament goes on. This is a young team, almost half are new players, and we're not losing anyone except Cha Cruz after this season. We still have Fajardo plus a few more team A type players in reserve for next season. The future looks good. But for now, let's take it one game at a time, we still have a championship to defend. I was just surprised that these kids weren't in the list. Sa bagay, our team is really loaded with talent that even if we wanted to accommodate all of them in Team A, hindi ganoon kadali na mag-desisyon as far as the coaches are concerned. Not really.
